Monmouth’s newest rowers really pulled it out of the bag today (10/9/23) at Upton’s ‘Beginners Regatta.’
The crew consisting of Fliss Howes, Rachel Rand, Richard Dennant and Joanne Roberts, coxed by Louise Tanner, beat six other crews to win the regatta. Upton were the runners up, giving Monmouth a run for their money.
The attending crews were Evesham
A & B, Ross, Gloucester, Upton and Stratford on Avon. The event was extremely well run and gave new rowers the chance to experience race conditions for the first time.
A great day and a particularly successful one for Monmouth Rowing club.
Thanks to club coach Tim for all his coaching input to crew during recent squad training sessions.
