Our senior men’s squad has been starting to train alongside their counterparts from over the border in Hereford, in a bid to improve the overall performance and opportunities of both groups.
The first big race of the year was Pairs Head, held on the Tideway on Saturday 12th Oct. Five crews entered the event between the two clubs, sadly reduced to four on the day through illness. Results as follows:
· Chris Head & Richard Ray; 2nd in Mas B 2- and 175th overall
· Ben Morgan & George Knight; 2nd in Open Club 2x and 52nd overall
· Harry Guy & George Fraser; 2nd in Open Senior 2- and 44th overall
· Jamie Coombes & Alex Butler; 1st in Open Intermediate 2x and 3rd overall
Some great results for so early in the season. Everyone is looking forward to pushing on for the rest of winter training towards Head of the River in March and continuing the interclub collaboration.
