Monmouth Rowing Club Shines at the British Rowing Indoor Championships 2024
Monmouth Rowing Club took to the national stage at the British Rowing Indoor Championships (BRIC) 2024, held at the NEC in Birmingham as part of FitFest for the second consecutive year. With 51 British Champion titles on the line and over 1,800 athletes competing across 178 categories, this was a thrilling celebration of indoor rowing talent.
Representing Monmouth with pride, the club entered four races, achieving some great results.
Masters 60-64 Open 2000m
Phil T delivered a strong performance in this fiercely competitive category, finishing 5th with an impressive time of 6:55.
Masters 55-59 Women 2000m
Monmouth had a double entry in this event. Louise T secured a silver medal with a time of 7:59, showcasing her usual determination and skill. Teammate Sue B also gave a solid effort, finishing 10th with a time of 9:06.
Masters 30-39 Lightweight Women 2000m
Fliss H added another silver medal to the club’s tally, completing the race in an excellent 7:42.
