Founded in 1929 Monmouth is a thriving and successful Club with over 100 members and whilst junior and younger members are actively encouraged Monmouth is known primarily as a masters’ Club.

Like most clubs outside London the average age of our members is over 40.

Monmouth also has three school rowing clubs (Haberdasher’s Boys, Girls and the Comprehensive School) who all row on the same stretch of river. Haberdashers Girls and the Comprehensive School rowing clubs share the boathouse with Monmouth and share the other facilities of the gym and club room.
